I have complete some college hours.
Do you have a family?
Husband, David.
What is your current business?
Executive Director of the Moore Chamber of Commerce.
How long have you done this?
6 years.
What do you enjoy most about your job?
My relationship with all the business members of the Chamber.
What do you enjoy least about your job?
There are really no aspects of my job I don’t like. If any, time constraints in making contact with the Chamber members.
What skills or training are needed to perform your job well?
People skills; social skills. The ability to develop good interpersonal relationships.
What inspires you?
To see small businesses become successful.
Did/do you have a mentor?
For this position, I did not have a mentor.
What advice would you give someone who is just starting out in their career?
Be teachable and follow good leadership.
What one thing would you want someone new to this community to know about Norman/Moore?
That Moore is a progressive and growing community.

University of Oklahoma and Oklahoma State University.

Wife, Lisa and son, Foster.
What is your current business?
Vice President, Top of the World.
How long have you done this?
7 years.
What do you enjoy most about your job?
I work daily with a dynamic workforce in an industry that changes every day. No two days are the same.
What do you enjoy least about your job?
We are the number one collegiate headwear company in the United States. Therefore, our success at the retail level is directly tied to wins and losses on the field which can be challenging at times.
What skills or training are needed to perform your job well?
I draw on my experience in the Marine Corps daily. These leadership principles are directly applied to my management style.
What inspires you?
I am inspired by inspiring others. I try to reach one employee every day with positive inspiration and then show others how to do the same.
Did/do you have a mentor?
My parents taught me to find a purpose and then do whatever it takes to achieve it. I come from a strong family that continues to be the foundation for my success.
What advice would you give someone who is just starting out in their career?
Do what’s right. Do your best. Treat others like you want to be treated.
What one thing would you want someone new to this community to know about Norman/Moore?
Norman has great people and is a strong community that continues to thrive. I have the opportunity in my business to visit many college towns and I’ll put Norman up there with any of them.
