What is your current business?
State Farm Agent – 1901 W. Main St, Norman, OK 73069
How long have you done this?
I have been a State Agent for 13 years, but I have been associated with State Farm for 22 years.
What do you enjoy most about your job?
I love helping my clients, it’s very rewarding.
What do you enjoy least about your job?
Seeing my clients deal with disasters. I had my clients lose everything in the Moore tornado and it’s tough to see the devastation these families had to endure.
What skills or training are needed to perform your job well?
To be a good agent you have to really enjoy working with people. Always put your clients first and you will be successful.
What inspires you?
My parents. They have both been great role models on many levels.
Did/do you have a mentor?
I have an Uncle that was a State Farm agent that helped me get my start with State Farm.
What advice would you give someone who is just starting out in their career?
Be persistent and work hard. Treat people well and your opportunity will come.
What one thing would you want someone new to this community to know about Norman/Moore?
That Moore is a progressive and growing community.

Broadway Florist

Owned Shop 4 Years, been a florist 25 years
What do you enjoy most about your job?
Meeting all different kinds of people and helping people plan special events.
What do you enjoy least about your job?
Washing Flower buckets
What skills or training are needed to perform your job well?
Customer Service Skills are a must, Accounting, Floral Design, Business development and networking

God and Kindness of friends

Susan Coleman Shebester of Coleman's Flowers. I have always admired her artistic ability and her big heart.
What advice would you give someone who is just starting out in their career?
Really listen and care about your customers. Always be grateful for their business and never forget that the have a choice
where they do business.
What one thing would you want someone new to this community to know about Norman/Moore?
Our community is growing and there are many opportunities, for existing and new businesses. We are a big town a small town feel. The business owners are just like you are, trying to make it and make a difference.
